Three young men have been arrested in connection to a targeted shooting at a Burnaby SkyTrain station.

A 22-year-old Surrey man was shot at the Royal Oak station Tuesday afternoon. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

The alleged shooter, also a 22-year-old Surrey man, was arrested on Wednesday, along with an 18-year-old Burnaby man and a 15-year-old boy. Police are considering attempted murder charges for the suspected gunman, and charges are pending for the other two suspects.

"The RCMP quickly identified the suspects in yesterday's brazen SkyTrain shooting, and we located them in Surrey," RCMP Sgt. Ted De Jager said in a release.

"We attempted to stop their vehicle but the suspects abandoned the vehicle and ran away. However, after a short foot pursuit, I'm very happy to say we have all three in custody."

De Jager said investigators believe the shooting was targeted.
