One man is recovering from gunshot wounds and a second has been seriously beaten after an attempted robbery in Delta Tuesday.
Constable Ciaran Feenan says police raced to a strip mall in the 9300-block of Scott Road at around 6:30 p.m. after reports of shots fired, but the suspects had fled by the time officers reached the scene.
Police say the victims had just left the strip mall and were walking to their car when they were approached by a group of men who tried to rob them. A fight broke out and one of the victims was shot.
The victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are now looking for as many as three men, and are also trying to identify the getaway car.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
