Police in Prince George, B.C., arrested 14 people and seized weapons and drugs in a weekend raid at home believed to be connected to a local gang.
Prince George RCMP searched a home in the 2400-block of Oak Street early Saturday morning. Police say the residence was known to belong to the Game Tight Soldiers.
Inside the house, police found a loaded sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, body armour and bear spray. Officers also seized of marijuana and crack cocaine, along with clothing embroidered with the words "Game Tight Soldier" or "GTS". The raid resulted in the arrest of 14 people, and weapons and drug charges are pending against the group.
Const. Lesley Smith said in a press release that police are asking the public to come forward with any information they might have about gang activity in the Prince George area.
"We recognize the danger these crime groups are inflicting upon our neighborhoods so we continue to act on any information or evidence in order to shut down these operations, creating a safer community to live in," she said.
