Vancouver police investigators are turning to the public for help after a senior was abducted at gunpoint and robbed in Kitsilano last week.
The 69-year-old was walking in the 2900-block of West Broadway on Aug. 17 when police say he was accosted by two men in their 20s, who forced him into a waiting black pickup truck.
The vehicle, driven by a woman in her 20s, stopped about four blocks away on West 13th Avenue.
"It was at this point that the captors allegedly demanded money and struck the man over the head with a metal object before pepper-spraying him in the face and pushing him out of the truck," Const. Jana McGuinness said in a statement released to media.
The victim called 911 as the vehicle sped away. He was treated for a scrape on his head and the effects of the pepper spray.
The pickup truck is described as a newer model with four doors, tan interior and tinted windows. The woman driving is described as having blonde hair in a ponytail.
One suspect is described as a white man, about 6-0 tall and 200 pounds. He has short blonde hair. The second man is described as darker skinned, about 5-10, slim with short dark hair.
