Police are investigating a strange altercation that erupted aboard a Metro Vancouver bus.

Few details of the bizarre incident have been confirmed, but footage posted to Twitter shows an older woman yelling with a younger woman and a man who’s seated in a wheelchair.

“I told you in the beginning: keep your filthy mouth shut,” the older woman says in one short clip from the fight.

“Mind your business, that’s what you ought to do. Mind your f---ing business,” the man responds.

In another brief video, the older woman appears to spit at the man, at which point the other woman pushes her into a seat and slaps her in the face, causing her to freeze and then slowly tip over onto the floor.

A third and final clip shows the older woman sitting on the ground and apparently blocking the man in the wheelchair from exiting the bus.

“He’s calling the police!” she yells, gesturing toward the bus driver.

It’s unclear when or where the incident took place, but the first clip was posted online on Aug. 28 by a witness who said it happened on a 106 bus from Metrotown.

There’s obviously much more to the incident than what’s captured on the footage, which totals less than 30 seconds, but few details have been confirmed by police.

A transit police spokesperson confirmed investigators are aware of the incident, and that they were checking with local police departments to determine if any of them received a report on the fight. Police in New Westminster later confirmed that they are looking into the case.
