Police in Washington State are offering a $1,000 award for information after the discovery of another detached foot on the shores of the Pacific Northwest.
The right foot was found on Dec. 5 in the city of Tacoma, south of Seattle.
The detached foot was inside a boy's size 6 OzArk Trail brand hiking boot, which police believes belonged to a youth or small adult. The boots were sold in Wal-Mart stores in 2004 and 2005.
Investigators believe that the foot may have floated into the city's Tideflats area from the Puyallup River or Puget Sound.
It's the second detached foot to wash ashore in Washington State in recent months.
In late August, a right foot that appeared to belong to a woman or child washed up on a beach in Whidbey Island, east of Victoria, B.C.
This marks the 10th foot to wash up in the coastal region from B.C. to northwestern Washington since August 2007.

The most recent B.C. discovery was made in the Triangle Beach area of suburban Richmond in October 2009. The foot was inside a white, size 8.5 Nike running shoe, and was matched to a man reported missing in January 2008.
The first foot to appear matched the DNA of a man who was depressed and likely took his own life.
Two feet found separately in New Balance running shoes in Richmond belong to the same woman, but she remains unidentified.
A matching pair of men's Nikes also remains unidentified, as well as a right male foot found in summer 2007.
There is no evidence of foul play in any of those cases.
