A family home in West Vancouver, B.C., has been devastated by a fire that authorities say may have been started by a backyard barbeque.

The three-story home on the 2300 block of Jefferson Avenue caught fire Wednesday afternoon shortly before 2:00 p.m., and within an hour was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were working to contain the blaze, but the home appears to be completely destroyed.

So far, no injuries have been reported.
