The wait is almost over for hard-core "Beliebers."

Ontario teen Justin Bieber, who's "My World Tour" is selling out arenas across North America, plays a sold-out Rogers Arena in Vancouver Tuesday night.

Scores of Bieber fans have been holding vigil outside his downtown hotel, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite singer. Some have taken to constant Tweeting in an effort to persuade the 16-year-old heartthrob to come outside and show off his trademark hairdo.

Tickets for tonight's show are selling for up to $1,000 on websites like Craigslist.

Super fans Lyndsey Gavin and Alexandra Joyce got to meet the star for the first time last year after winning a contest and going to New York. Tonight they'll have the chance to get up close and person with the teen before he performs.

"It hasn't hit us yet but we're really hoping he remembers us from NYC," Gavin told CTV News.

Wearing matching "I heart JB" sweatshirts and wristbands, the girls say they are beyond excited to meet their favourite singer.

"He just seems like he's such a nice person. He's not getting all insane with his fame -- and we like his hair!"

The Biebz himself Tweeted about tonight's show late last night to his 5.7 million followers.

"MY WORLD Tour finally continues 2morrow in Vancouver. We had to get it going in Canada. Excited to get back to performing."

Bieber also praised his fans on his Facebook page.

"Vancouver has some of the most loyal people and fans in the world."

The star's trip to Vancouver has been marred in some controversy after a visit to suburban laser tag centre with his father turned rowdy Friday night.

It is believed the teen got into a scuffle with a 12-year-old after some words were exchanged. Police only say they were alerted by the younger boy's father after he suffered minimal injuries. An investigation is underway.

Media reports Monday suggested that the heartthrob may have been the victim of bullying, and that he plans to speak out against it later this week.

The red hot star's new nail polish line, which will include a number of colors centered around Bieber's songs and lyrics, including "One Less Lonely Glitter," "Step 2 the Beat of My Heart" and "Give Me the First Dance," will hit store shelves just in time for Christmas.
