Tentative settlement of a contract dispute means jet fuel is flowing for Air Canada, WestJet and several other airlines at Vancouver International Airport.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada says a tentative agreement has been reached with Servisair, which operates as GlobeGround Fuel Service at YVR.

Union regional vice-president Kay Sinclair says the deal came Saturday, just hours after lock-out notice expired.

Arrangements for a ratification vote have not been released.

Seventy-three Servisair fuellers and mechanics at YVR were ready to strike to back contract demands ranging from wage increases to retirement benefits.

Negotiations had been underway since last year with the Paris-based company.
