A 50-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed in the abdomen by his son in Surrey Wednesday night.
Surrey RCMP say a fight broke out between the two men around 11 p.m. in an apartment in the 9800-block of 140th Street.
"It seems like the father was the primary aggressor," Cpl. Drew Grainger told ctvbc.ca.
Grainger said the son, 15, was likely acting out of self-defence.
Police arrested both men and are recommending assault charges against the father.
The father is expected to recover from his injuries.
