An upgraded video surveillance system for SkyTrain stations in Metro Vancouver is now on line.
The digital system replaces video tape, meaning the recorded images can be saved for as long as a week instead of being automatically erased every two hours.
That's good news for police investigating crimes at SkyTrain stations.
The video upgrade is part of security enhancements at the stations that also include improved lighting
