Vancouver police believe a sex offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant could be on his way to northeastern B.C.
Curtis Joseph, 26, walked away from a Vancouver halfway house Tuesday and may be going to Prince George or the Fort St. John area, spokesperson Const. Jana McGuinness announced Wednesday.
Joseph is considered a high-risk offender and is currently on statutory release for offences including aggravated sexual assault, assault, kidnapping and unlawful confinement.
The Aboriginal man is described as 5-9, 160 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes, acne scars and tattoos of "hi" on his right hand and a squiggly line design on his right upper arm.
Joseph, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
