Vancouver police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of trying to abduct an 11-year-old boy in the Kitsilano neighbourhood this week.
The boy was walking alone in the area of Collingwood Street and West 11th about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday when he says a man approached him and attempted to grab him. The boy ran away and got help from a nearby resident, police said.
The man is white, in his 60s, stands 5-7 to 5-10, and is overweight, police said. He was wearing a white or grey long-sleeved shirt and possibly white pants.
