The father of a pregnant B.C. woman killed six months ago when she was struck by a car while standing at an intersection has also died from injuries caused by the crash.

Albert Jewell, 66, died last week from the internal injuries he suffered while waiting to cross the road at Ware Street and South Fraser Way in Abbotsford on Mar. 13.

He was pinned to a power pole after a collision between a Ford pick-up truck and a Honda Prelude sent the smaller car careening toward Jewell, his daughter Laurel Wilson and Wilson's husband.

Twenty-seven-year-old Wilson, who was six months pregnant, was trapped beneath the car and died in hospital a few hours after the collision. Hospital staff were unable to save her baby.

Wilson's husband suffered only minor injuries in the crash.

Abbotsford police say that they have concluded their investigation into the crash, and have forwarded charge recommendations to Crown counsel.
