KAMLOOPS, B.C. - The RCMP have seized a rocket launcher and a small arsenal of other weapons in a raid on a marijuana grow operation on a rural property near Kamloops, B.C.
Police say the rocket launcher was a Canadian Army anti-tank device and the other weapons include seven rifles, two shotguns, eleven handguns and as much as 40,000 rounds of ammunition.
Officers also seized more than eight kilograms of marijuana, growing equipment and smaller amounts of cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is expected to face a variety of drug and weapons charges.
Const. Cheryl Bush says the man has no criminal record but it was not a street-level drug operation and investigators will be looking at whether there is a gang connection.
Police also seized upwards of $200,000 worth vehicles and equipment believed to be stolen, including a 2005 Corvette, a truck, a snowmobile and a motorcycle.
