Vancouver police are investigating the city's 11th homicide of 2011.
The victim -- a 24-year-old Burnaby man -- was allegedly stabbed inside a vehicle by a fellow passenger.
Police say the driver and the suspect both ran from the scene.
They say they got a 911 call and officers found the victim clinging to life, but he died in hospital a few hours later.
