A quiet family campground near Cultus Lake is now the scene of a homicide investigation this Victoria Day long weekend.

A 19-year-old Richmond man was killed at Sunnyside Campground after a fight broke out Saturday evening, police said.

Two people were also injured, police said, including a park attendant who tried to break up the fight.

Another man, 20, is currently in a Metro Vancouver hospital with serious injuries.

Police in the area used dogs to track and arrest three men, who are now in custody at the Chilliwack RCMP detachment.

The Lower Mainland's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has cordoned off a portion of Sunnyside Campground with police tape.

The campground, off the Columbia Valley Highway, has 245 sites. It remained open Sunday.
