Mounties in Langley, B.C. are trying to identify the rightful owners of hundreds of items ranging from costume jewelry to family photos seized during a property crime investigation.
Surrey resident Dave Yaroslawsky, 29, and 33-year-old Ivan Johnson of New Westminster were arrested in March in connection to as many as 18 break-ins in the Fraser Valley, and both men have been charged with several property and firearms offences.
During the course of the investigation, Langley RCMP seized heaps of suspected stolen goods, some of which they believe may be connected to as-yet unidentified property crimes.
Earlier this month, more than 30 recent victims of break-ins toured the RCMP detachment to lay claim to their missing property, but less than a quarter of the items were retrieved.
Investigators have now posted photos of of the unidentified items on the RCMP website in the hope that their owners will recognize them. The property includes jewelry boxes, lockets, electronics, watches, a safe, tools and dozens of rings, bracelets, brooches and necklaces.
Anyone with information about the suspected stolen property is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3398.
