A young aboriginal man has been missing from the Fraser Valley area since Christmas day, and his family are desperate to hear from him.

Tommy (Thomas) Shaw was last seen by his parents on December 25, 2008, and was later seen in the Agassiz area hitch hiking on Morris Valley Road on January 1, 2009.

It appears that Tommy was intending to leave the area, however, it is not normal for him to go this long without contacting family or friends.

Shaw is 24-years-old, 5'7" in height, and 160 pounds, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He may have been wearing a Vancouver Canuck jersey when he was last seen.

The Agassiz RCMP have advised police in other jurisdictions, as well as other First Nations Communities where Shaw may travel that he has been reported missing.

The Upper Fraser Valley RCMP First Nations Policing Unit are assisting the Chehalis community where Tommy is from in an effort to locate him, or anyone who may have information on his whereabouts or intended travel plans.

Anyone that has any information on the location of Shaw, or anyone that may have given him a ride is asked to call the Agassiz RCMP at 604-796-2211.
