Flights are operating normally at Vancouver International Airport this morning despite a labour dispute.
Twenty-one refuelling supervisors and administration staff have been locked out after their company, GlobeGround Fuel Service, walked away from the bargaining table last night.
A spokesperson for the airport says flights have not been affected because replacement workers have been called in to do the work of the locked-out supervisors.
GlobeGround, also known as Servisair, had served a 72-hour lockout notice Thursday to the 21 employees.
The Union of Canadian Transportation Employees has been bargaining since last fall over the key issues of wages and hours of work.
GlobeGround says it will continue to work with the federal Mediation Conciliation Services and hope to reach a collective agreement shortly.
