Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson's foster son Jinagh Navas-Rivas has surrendered to police after being charged in a Richmond dial-a-dope operation, CTV News has learned.

The 21-year-old, who is one of five men accused in an alleged drug-and-gun trafficking ring, was arrested Thursday in Richmond after he was located by RCMP.

Navas-Rivas has been charged with two counts of cocaine trafficking in Vancouver and Richmond and one count of transferring a .22-calibre Ruger pistol with ammunition in New Westminster.

He lived with the Robertson family for two years before moving out in 2009. The mayor has called the charges against Navas-Rivas "disappointing" and called for him to turn himself in.

Another suspect, 25-year-old Vinh Hoang David Le, also turned himself in on Thursday.. Three remaining suspects have either turned themselves in or been arrested, and are all scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Raymond Kwok Pui Ma, 47, turned himself in on Wednesday and was released from custody on strict conditions. Leslie James Miller, 29, was arrested last month and 23-year-old Willie Sing Cheung Truong turned himself in.

Mounties say their investigation began in June, and officers have seized three handguns with ammunition, 15 ounces of cocaine and a pound of marijuana, as well as steroids and MDMA.

Investigators say they expect to charge another three people in the operation.
