An extradition hearing opened in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver on Tuesday for pot crusader Marc Emery.
He's fighting extradition to the U.S., where he's charged with selling marijuana seeds over the Internet.
The hearing comes almost a year after Emery accused the federal government of scrapping a deal with the Americans where he agreed to plead guilty to selling pot seeds in exchange for lighter sentences for his co-accused -- Michelle Rainey and Greg Williams.
The arrangement would have seen Emery spend most of his jail time in Canada, but he said the Tories scuttled the deal.
