Thirty-three-year-old Thomas Forster has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Vancouver's sixth homicide of the year.

Police found the body of a man in his 20s inside a downtown apartment on Tuesday morning. Officers arrived at the building at 1155 Seymour Street after receiving a 911 call that reported that someone may be injured inside a suite.

Forster was arrested at the Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday by Vancouver police with the help of the RCMP, according to a press release from the department.

Police do not believe the crime is linked to gangs or drugs.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to confirm the victim's identity.
