A total of nine charges have been laid against a Vancouver high school student accused of posting a hit list on the Internet.

The 18-year-old Templeton Secondary student was arrested May 29 after other students alerted police to the list.

Police seized a shotgun, ammunition, metal batons and a machete from his home.

Police say the student is now facing three weapons counts, including possessing a firearm without a license, two counts of assault with a weapon and four counts of uttering threats.

His name has not been released because some of the alleged offences occurred while he was still a youth.

The alleged hit list posted on Facebook contained the names of 117 people, including other students and teachers at his school.
