The streets of Vancouver will soon be welcoming 12 new food carts, offering tastes ranging from French stew to El Salvadoran pupusas.

The new vendors will allowed to offer up their fares beginning on May 1, bringing the total number of roadside carts across the city to 103. The mobile kitchens were chosen from among 59 applications judged by a panel of 15 people from the media, city council, general public and the restaurant and hospitality industries.

The latest additions to roadside dining include:

  • Ze Bite: French stew and sandwiches
  • Pig on the Street: British sandwiches
  • Guanaco Truck: El Salvadorian
  • Kaboom Box: seafood
  • Feastro - The Rolling Bistro: seafood
  • Le Tigre: Chinese
  • Rimfoodbaht: Thai
  • Slingers: Italian
  • Perodie Perogy: perogies
  • Soho Road Naan Kebab: Indian
  • Mogu: Japanese
  • The Burger Bus: burgers
