North Vancouver police have issued a public warning after a man offered three teenage girls money in exchange for sexual favours before exposing himself.

The man drove up to the teens, two 15 year olds and a 17 year old, on two separate occasions in the area of Ridgewood Drive and Edgemont Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

That’s when the man propositioned the girls for sexual favours in exchange for cash and then exposed himself, causing the group to run away, police say. The girls were not physically touched or harmed.

Police are now searching for a male suspect described as 25 to 35 years old with olive skin, a slim build, short black hair and a beard. He was described as wearing a white shirt and dark jeans and is about 190 pounds and 5’11” tall, according to investigators.

He was reportedly driving a red or maroon box-type Jeep.

In the meantime, police are telling parents to talk to their kids about the dangers of speaking to strangers.

Anyone who sees the suspect or suspect vehicle is asked not to approach, but to note the licence plate number and call 911.
