If you thought October seemed like an unusually soggy month, you're absolutely correct.

Environment Canada has announced that rain soaked the streets of Vancouver on 28 of 31 days, breaking the previous record of 26 that was recorded in 1985 and 1967.

That probably doesn't bode well for November, which CTV weather forecaster Marke Driesschen said is normally the wettest month of the year.

"It's funny because we always talk about, 'Oh, well, it rains here all the time, we're used to it.' Yeah, but when it gets to about 28-29 days, how used to it are you?" Driesschen said.

It wasn't just the mainland getting doused this month either. Environment Canada said Victoria saw 27 days of rain, breaking its previous record of 25.
