TransLink halted SeaBus service between Waterfront Station and Lonsdale Quay for hours Tuesday after a suspicious package was discovered.
The package turned out to be an old style Walkman music player, which was found underneath a seat, said Anne Drennan with Transit Police.
Transit Police and North Vancouver RCMP responded after the package was found on the Burrard Beaver vessel sometime after 5 p.m.
A bomb squad was also called to the scene.
Ten shuttle buses were brought in to help transport passengers between the terminals while police investigated.
