Mounties are asking the public for help locating a truck that might have been involved in a kidnapping Wednesday night.

A witness told police there was a suspicious incident involving two men in a black pickup and a woman who was on foot near 94A Avenue and King George Boulevard around 10 p.m.

The three left in the truck, but the witness said it wasn’t clear whether the woman got in voluntarily.

“Even though police aren’t certain if an offence has occurred we are treating this matter very seriously,” Cpl. Scotty Schumann said in a statement.

“Investigators would like to speak with anyone who recognizes this truck or has knowledge of the persons involved.”

On Thursday, the RCMP released images of the truck that were captured from surveillance cameras in the area.

The vehicle is described as a newer model Dodge Ram that had three cardboard boxes in the back. It was last seen travelling northbound on King George.

The two men inside were white, but no other descriptive details have been released.

Anyone with information can contact the Surrey RCMP detachment at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
