A West Vancouver home was completely destroyed and one person was sent to hospital following an early morning blaze.
Emergency crews arrived around 1 a.m. to a home in the 8500-block of Ansel Way to find it engulfed in flames.
The one person who was inside the home got out safely after calling 911.
That person was taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation, and is expected to recover.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
