A pilot was briefly hospitalized Wednesday after his plane burst into flames and crashed onto a road in the small northern B.C. community of Fort Nelson.
Witnesses saw the single-engine plane catch fire in the air then crash land in an industrial area of town at around 4 p.m.
The wreckage came to a half near a Kal Tire location.
Mounties confirm the pilot was the sole occupant. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital and released shortly after.
There were no other injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
