Several dangerous archery bows worth thousands of dollars were stolen from a New Westminster museum.
The rare bows were reportedly stolen during a break-in Friday morning.
Thieves smashed a window to get inside the museum and took off with eight bows. One of the stolen bows was used by actress Jessica Biel in the film Blade Trinity and is worth $5000.
Museum owner Rob Boorman said the weapon can be deadly in the wrong hands.
“Our biggest concern is the cross bow. It’s a really old bow and if they try to load it, it’s got cracked limbs on it and a really bad trigger so they could end up in the hospital,” he said. “So that’s a little warning for the crooks.”
The New Westminster Police Department have surveillance footage of the burglary but have not found the suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call New Westminster Police.
