The coroner’s office is investigating after a body was found floating in the Harrison River near Chehalis, B.C. Monday, according to police.

Police said a guide was fishing at the mouth of the Harrison and Fraser rivers when he saw a floating body at around 9 a.m.

Kent Search and Rescue recovered the body and an autopsy will be performed to determine the identity and cause of death.

Police said it’s too early in the investigation to say whether foul play is suspected.
