The Mounties say they are no longer looking for a truck that was spotted near the scene of one of two pipeline bombings in northeast B.C.

The RCMP say the pickup truck has been eliminated as part of their investigation and they don't need the public's help in finding it.

They say explosive experts are still probing the scene of the blast near Dawson Creek and have seized several exhibits.

Investigators are also following up on tips from the public and while the Mounties say some of the leads have been very helpful, they're not giving any details.

In addition, the police say they have interviewed Wiebo Ludwig, who spent two years in jail for pipeline bombings in Alberta in the late 1990's, but he is not a suspect in the new attacks.

The two B.C. bombings took place within five days of each other and damaged two natural gas lines near Dawson Creek, but there were no major leaks.
