The former treasurer of a Vancouver Island youth football club is headed to court after police say she misappropriated $110,000 from the club's coffers.
Courtenay resident Gloria May Rickson minded the books for the Comox Valley Raiders from 2005 to 2009.
Early last year, the club's new president asked for a complete financial audit because of concerns about missing funds. When the alleged misappropriation was discovered, the club called police.
Rickson is now charged with criminal breach of trust and theft over $5,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 9.
