An 18-year old man is currently in serious but stable condition after crashing his car while street racing Wednesday at around 5:30 p.m., according to Langley RCMP.
Police are still investigating the single vehicle collision which took place in the 26200-block of 88 Ave. in Langley, B.C.
Witnesses reported that a 1993 Acura appeared to weaving in and out of traffic as it raced with a second vehicle travelling east.
The two vehicles were driving beside each other with the Acura driving in the oncoming, westbound lane. The Acura drove off the roadway to the north and ended up resting vertically against a tree with the nose of the car in the ground.
The teenage driver from Langley was treated for significant internal injuries in hospital.
Police do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
