Investigators say the attack happened in the 1600-block of Prairie Avenue near Shaughnessy Street at about 11:40 p.m.

The victim was approached by an unknown male, pushed to the ground and assaulted over an "extended period of time," Sgt. Peter Thiessen said in a release.

She was treated at an area hospital and released.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal male, 20-years-old, approximately 5-11 tall with a large bridged nose and messy black hair with long bangs. He was seen wearing a black baggy hoody and blue jeans.
