Surrey, B.C. man arrested at U.S. border on sex charge in Indiana

BLAINE, Wash. - A Surrey, B.C., man heading into the U.S. on Monday ended up in jail on a sex charge.

U.S. border agents arrested 50-year-old Rajendra Pandey at the Peace Arch border crossing on a sexual assault charge in Indiana.

They say Pandey's name came up in a national database that tracks arrest warrants for a variety of charges in the U.S.

Pandey was turned over to the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office for extradition from Washington state to Indiana.
