Abbotsford police have issued a rare warning about three men who allegedly pose a serious risk to the public.
Sandeep Singh Sidhu, Jimi Singh Sandhu, and Gavinder Singh Grewal are all believed to be involved in an ongoing conflict that authorities fear could erupt into public violence.
“We believe it is in the public’s best interest that the identities of these men are known so people associating with or in close physical proximity to them understand their safety could be in danger,” Sgt. Casey Vinet said in a statement.
“Efforts to curtail growing tensions between these individuals are being made but we are very concerned that violence could occur in a public setting.”
The men, who are between the ages of 25 and 27, have had numerous run-ins with police and are all allegedly involved with drugs and weapons.
Sidhu has been convicted on three counts of aggravated assault and is currently charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Sandhu’s history includes convictions for assault with a weapon and possession of an unauthorized or restricted weapon, while Grewal has been convicted for extortion and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
All three men are banned from possessing guns.
The Abbotsford Police Department asks anyone with information about the men’s activities to call investigators at 604-859-5225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
