Maintenance work on the BC Ferry Spirit of British Columbia could mean afternoon and evening disruptions for travellers heading to or from Vancouver Island Tuesday.
The ferry is being taken out of service forcing cancellation of the 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. sailings from Tsawwassen and the 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. departures from Swartz Bay.
The Queen of New Westminster will pick up some of the slack with an 8 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen and a 10 p.m. trip from Swartz Bay.
Sailing schedules are expected to return to normal Wednesday..
