Police in Kamloops, B.C., are asking owners of more than 200 stolen items seized during an April 21 grow-op bust to come claim their items.

During the marijuana bust, when RCMP found more than 400 plants, police also found items ranging from weapons to artwork, electronics and sports equipment.

Police say this is the largest stolen items seizure in Kamloops in recent years.

"We're having a hard time placing some items," Sgt. Scott Wilson told ctvbc.ca. "Especially with weapons, we'd need proof of firearm registry."

Wilson said without proof of ownership, police aren't able to hand the items over to people that claim to be the owners.

He said many people came in last weekend to claim their items, but police still have about 100 pieces left.

Kamloops RCMP will be holding onto the items for a few months before they become the property of the city.

Police may require serial numbers, photographs, receipts or other proof of ownership.
