An Abbotsford, B.C., apartment complex is the scene of the Lower Mainland's latest shooting.
Shots rang out around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in an apartment in the 2100-block of McKenzie Rd. near Marshall.
Police arrived to discover a man in his 20s who had been shot in the leg. He was transported to hospital with non-threatening injuries.
Abbotsford Police, Major Crime, forensic investigators and dog teams all attended the scene. Some teams are still on the scene collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
Cst. Ian MacDonald says early indications are that the shooting happened after a dispute between two people that knew each other.
MacDonald says the shooting is not gang-related.
There have been dozens of shootings in the Lower Mainland since the beginning of 2009, more than 20 of them fatal.
