One man has been arrested and police are on the hunt for two others after a young Vancouver man was kidnapped, beaten and robbed, police said Saturday.
Milad Rahimi, 20, faces a number of criminal charges in connection to the case, but Mo Rahimi and Calvin Leung are still on the run, said Vancouver Const. Tim Fanning.
All three are believed to have gang ties, Fanning said.
On June 12, a 20-year-old man was grabbed in Vancouver and put in a new-model BMW 5-series sedan, Fanning said.
He suffered several facial injuries. Police found the man in West Vancouver the next day.
Police arrested Milad Rahimi on Friday. He will appear in court next week on kidnapping, unlawful confinement, extortion, assault and robbery.
Canada-wide warrants have been issued for the two other suspects, he said.
Leung, 26, is 5'8", about 135 pounds and has a slim build. Mo Rahimi, 22, is 5'7", 180 pounds and has a muscular build.
Police say both men are considered armed and dangerous and shouldn't be approached.
