Pedestrian hospitalized following Maple Ridge crash

A pedestrian has been sent to hospital after being struck by a car in Maple Ridge Thursday evening.

Mounties were called to the crash at the intersection of Laity Street and Lougheed Highway around 5:50 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP said in a statement issued Friday morning.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene of the incident and remained co-operative with officers, said police.
