A coroner's inquest into the murder-suicide of five members of a Victoria area family, including a six-year-old boy, is reconvening in December after it was adjourned for legal issues.

The inquest into the deaths two years ago of six-year-old Christian Lee, his mother, his two grandparents, and father Peter Lee is set to resume from December 14 to 18 at the Victoria court house.

Peter Lee was on bail for charges relating to assaulting his wife when he crept into the family home in Oak Bay in September 2007 and stabbed his family to death before killing himself.

The inquest abruptly adjourned prior to its conclusion in May 2008 when jurors asked to question two Crown prosecutors who oversaw Lee's release on bail but the prosecutors refused.

The B.C. Court of Appeal ruled last July the two did not have to testify at the inquest because it would improperly interfere in the independence of the prosecutor's office.

Coroner Jeff Dolan and a jury will preside over the inquest in the deaths of Christian Lee, his mother Yong Sun (Sunny) Park, his grand parents Kum Lea Chun, Moon Kyu Park and father Peter Hyun Joon Lee.
