A man was airlifted to hospital Saturday morning after a shooting that took place near a Maple Ridge hotel.
At around 10:30 a.m. RCMP officers were called to the Travel Lodge at 21650 Lougheed Highway. A victim was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound.
An emergency helicopter transported the victim to Royal Columbian Hospital shortly after police arrived. Details of his condition have not been released.
Police have not reported any suspects, but a burnt car was found a few blocks from the scene shortly after the incident.
