RCMP say a B.C. man is facing two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the weekend stabbing deaths of a man and woman at a McDonald's restaurant in Richmond.

Cpl. Dale Carr of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says 33-year-old Chang Wang knew the two people who died at the fast-food restaurant.

He says the male victim was 37-year-old Zhe Hu and the female was 36-year-old Yan Lin.

Carr says police want to speak to three potential witnesses, including two men who were in different parts of the restaurant when the incident began and then immediately walked out.

He says one man was wearing an orange and brown shirt and the other was carrying a red bag.

Another stabbing in Sechelt on Friday has led to a charge of second-degree murder against 35-year-old Phillip Joe, whose brother Conrad Joe died of his injuries in hospital.
