Police are investigating what they believe is yet another targeted shooting in the Lower Mainland.
A 23-year-old man was shot dead inside a basement suite in a home on Nanaimo St. near 15th Ave. in East Vancouver.
A neighbour called 911 about a disturbance around 6 p.m.
Vancouver Police confirm the man was shot several times and died from gunshot wounds, but isn't able to say if the shooting is gang related until the victim is identified.
Insp. Bob Chapman says there had been no forced entry into the suite.
The Integrated Homicide Team is canvassing the area gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
This is the eighth shooting in Metro Vancouver since February 2 -- five of them fatal.
