The BC Lions made it official Monday that Casey Printers is their number one quarterback. The Lions and Printers have agreed to a two-year contract extension, plus an option for a third year.
The deal allows Printers to continue his second stint with the Leos. Printers rejoined the Lions last October as a free agent after he was released from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Printers was activated from the team's practice roster for the final five games of the regular season and made his first start on October 24 in Saskatchewan.
The mobile quarterback finished the season throwing for 686 yards and three TD's.
He helped the Lions advance to the East final against the Montreal Alouettes by defeating his old club the Tiger-Cats 34-27 in the East semifinal.
The Lions would go on to lose the East final to the Als.
