The 2010 Lilith Fair tour is coming to Vancouver July 1. As in previous years, the music festival will raise money for charity, but this time there is a twist.

"This time around we've asked the community to choose their charity," Lilith Fair co-founder Terry McBride told CTV News. "So rather than us pick it we've asked the community to help us pick it."

Lilith Fair fans in each city are encouraged to log on to Facebook and vote for the charity they would like to see receive the money.

The WISH Drop-In Centre Society is currently leading the voting in Vancouver. The organization is dedicated to helping sex trade workers in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Kate Gibson of WISH says that they could use the money. They could also use the publicity.

"I think the exposure is great because there are lots of people who might not know what WISH is and might follow the links and might find us on Facebook where they might learn about the work we do and the women we serve," she told CTV News.

Other charities receiving votes include The Surrey Women's Centre and the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.
